Your session will be full of movement, laughter, and interaction! For part of the session you'll have little activities to do that are meant to create connection, laughter, or sweet moments, and other times you'll have the space to naturally interact, explore, or play (with gentle directions when needed). Expect to not look at the camera for the majority of your session.
Let's pick a location together! Let's pick a place where is not only beautiful but you're able to have room to explore and make it much more fun! A place where you and your family are comfortable.

I would plan to receive 55+ professional photos. 25+ pictures will be professionally edited.
When will we receive our images?
I'll be hard at working editing your photos and they will be delivered via online gallery within 1-2 weeks of your session (or sooner).
How should we dress for our family session?
The clothing that you wear can be the difference between good photos and fantastic photos so I'm here to help you select amazing outfits for your family.
My advice is to start with one person's outfit. Choose the hardest person to dress first and then decide the rest of the outfits based on that.
What’s the best time to have a photo session?
Referred to as “the golden hour” or “magic hour,” these times provide the perfect light to capture stunning photos. This is the last hour before sunset and the first hour after sunrise. Referred to as “the golden hour” or “magic hour,” these times provide the perfect light to capture stunning photos. This is one of the most important things to me. Lighting! You'll hear me talk about it during our shoot for sure.
What if my kids don't cooperate during the photo session?
I don't expect kids to "be good" during their session. I have two kiddos, I understand! In fact, if they get to be a little naughty, that will probably get us some genuine smiles and laughter. What you can do is allow your child to be themselves. The kids are in charge! Try not to tell them no or scold them for anything during our time together and your photos will turn out happy and carefree! The real moments, uncontrollable giggles, and wind in your hair is the actual goal here, not forced or fake smiles.
What happens if it rains during an outdoor shoot?
We will discuss it and make a plan together. The weather here in Florida is very unpredictable so I don't like to make a final decision until the night before or even the day of. I am happy to reschedule if it looks like rain but if your family is up for stomping in puddles and clear umbrellas, then so am I!
Can we bring our dog?
Of course! Just make sure the location we choose allows them, and have a plan for when their time in the spotlight is over. I usually suggest bringing a helper to take them on a walk so your family isn't distracted.
Should I get my makeup and hair done?
Although it is not necessary, you will never regret getting your hair and makeup professionally done. If you are going to do your own, matte colors photograph best in natural light. I also love when hair is left down and wavy.
